Here's 4 things you can do with the abandoned $99 TouchPad.

What will happen to those thousands of HP TouchPads now obsolete?

Here's 4 things you can do with the abandoned $99 TouchPad.

Months ago, I predicted the death of the "PC keyboard" with the coming of touch screen tablets across the industry ... little did I know that HP would "throw the baby out with the bath water" and abandon the entire tablet, as well.

While there is still time.... Here's what you can do with your now obsolete HP TouchPad.

1. "Hack Your TouchPad to Run Android, Win a Prize" - See Wired.com

2. "HP TouchPad becomes a low-cost Ubuntu tablet" - See Gigaom,com

3. Find applications for the HP TouchPad on the HP site. (such as Facebook Tablet, Kindle for WebOS, 7digital MP3 Music, Just Type and Web browsing.

4. Some people are trying to resell the Touchpad for $300.00 on Ebay...but wait because the full supply of unsold Touchpads is not known. Retail stores have sold out initial supplies this weekend, at $99.00 each but that does not rule out more will be coming.
